Online Banking Nice-to-Know Tools

Online Banking Know-how’s

Technology is a beautiful thing, isn’t it? But, sometimes, there are so many options and shortcuts that we can’t possibly learn them all! We wanted to point out a few cool tools you can find within your online banking account. Read on!

1. You can give your accounts nicknames.

Yes, while we may see your account as a “secondary share” account, you can call it whatever you want within the online banking platform so you can keep things organized. Simply go to the “Options” tab and click on “Account Nickname”.

2. You can hide your accounts.

Want to forget about one account because you are trying to save and don’t want to be tempted to transfer money from there? Hide it! Go to the “Options” tab and click “Show/Hide Account”.

3. You can change your user id.

Don’t like using your member number as your user id when you log in? Change it! Go to the “Options” tab and click on “Member Info”. Then, scroll down to the “Alternate login” section.

4. You can set up account alerts.

Set up account alerts so you know things like 1) your balance is getting too low, 2) you received a deposit, 3) when a specific check cleared. You can have alerts sent to you via email, text, or secure message. Go to the “Accounts” tab and click on “Account Alerts”. The possibilities are endless!

5. You can schedule automatic transfers.

Want to have a certain amount transferred from your checking account to your savings account each week to help you save? Have a loan that you’d like to pay automatically? Schedule an automatic transfer! Go to the “Transfers” tab and click on “Scheduled Transfers”.

6. Analyze your expenses by category.

Want to know how much you are spending by debit card, through Bill Pay, by ATM? Set yourself a budget, create your categories, and analyze it in online banking. First, go to the “Options” tab and click on “Transaction Categories” to set up your desired categories. Then, go to the “Accounts” tab and click on “Balance Sheet” to analyze.
